Marine life is the life of organisms that were living in the sea or ocean. They have adapted their life in saltwater. Ranging from smaller organisms to larger, all are adapted in the sea with high pressure. It consists of all plants and animals of many species. It consists of both land-based and underwater species, namely, birds, mammals, reptiles, fish, sharks, anthropods, and amphibians. It also includes a diverse group of viruses and bacteria.
Marine life is considered in groups; there are three major groups of marine life in which different organisms live. So here I am discussing those three groups.
- Plankton
The Organisms which floats in the water. These types of organisms are tiny, which are not able to be seen with a naked eye. They are not able to move on their own; only they move along with oceans. Plankton is also considered in two types: phytoplankton, which is named for plants that make their food by the energy from the sun process known as photosynthesis like algae. And the second one is the zooplankton, which is named for animals, which include tiny animals.
- Nekton
The organisms that swim on the water. They can also live in water depth. Most of them are fish and mammals. Fish uses gills for breathing, which helps them swim, and one is more advantage of the swim is the streamlined shape of a fish.
- Benthos
The organisms, which live on an ocean floor. Some of the animals are crawling on the ocean floor. Examples of these types of organisms are clams and worms.
Marine fishes species
There are many species of fishes in the marine aquarium. The name of species are angelfish, anthias, bass and groupers, batfish, blennies and engineer gobies, boxfish and blowfish, butterflyfish, cardinalfish, clownfish, flatfish, grunts, hamlet, hogfish, idols, jacks, jawfish, scorpionfish, seahorses, sharks, tangs, tilefish, triggerfish, wrasse.
Microorganisms
Marine also contains microorganisms that are very small and not able to see from the naked eye. These microorganisms can be single-celled or multi-celled. It includes bacteria, archea, protozoa like algae, fungi, etc. some plants are also considered. They act as decomposers; some cause disease and lead to the death of plants and animals. Some marine macro animals are cnidarians, myxozoa, copepods, cladocera and tardigrades, nematodes and rotifers, loricifera.
How Marine species are in endangered
Now, marine species are on the brink of extinction. One of the most significant cause for death is human interference such as pollution, which is coming out from industry which affects the marine life most by the pollutants, and climate change is also the cause for the extinction of marine life, oil spills, and boat crash and some humanmade issues are the most reason which brings marine species in endangered.
One of the biggest reasons is the greenhouse effects, which lead to global warming. Some of the gases coming out with pollutants from the industry affect the most organisms and all earth. We must conserve nature by reducing the greenhouse effect.
